I’ve had stretchmarks ever since I was twelve years old. I’m nearly sixsteen now and they’re still there. On my sides, stomach, inner legs, breats and upper arms. Its awful

@phubbie Sorry but it’s not an illness. I was pregnant and got a few stretch marks. So I do know about that. There are different causes for it.
Heredity – Some individuals are genetically prone to stretch marks.
Weight – rapid weight gain or loss.
Skin Type – Dryer Skin types have less elasticity than oily skin.
Pregnancy – the weight gain and the hormone activity

@bunnym07 Sorry but thats not true. I have a stick thin friend with huge boobs (lucky right?) but here chest is covered in red strech marks. Also I think you are forgeting that most woman get strech marks from pregnancy.

This isn’t an illness. Just don’t gain weight and you won’t get stretch marks.

@delightracardeanne a person’s actions are based off of their personality, not how they dress or whether or not they care about removing stretch marks.
September 3rd, 2010 at 11:50 pm
@delightracardeanne so what if someone wants to show off their body in a bikini? i like looking sexy and i can’t see anything wrong with that. btw not all stretch marks come from having a baby. i’ve never given birth, i have stretch marks, and i want to get rid of them and wear a bikini. there’s absolutely no reason why that could cause me to have a baby or prevent me from having a lasting, serious relationship. girls who wear one piece suits are just as likely to be promiscuous. i don’t think stretch marks are an illness just workout fat ass.

I have Stretch Mark’s on my stomach. Not really a big deal. I have them mostly because Im a fat teen. Lol. You only live once. There’s no point in removing them. Your just wasting your money on useless treatments.
The people who hate someone just because of how they look is heartless. Everyone is beautifull. Everyone is just human. Everyone isnt perfect. BELIEVE IT!! ;P

@euratessuh Lol, I didn’t say that, but wearing a bikini and showing off all of your assets shows guys you want them to see what you have. Just saying, if your focus is to lose the baby stretchmarks just so you can wear a bikini, then you’re not to either A.) have a baby or B.) Be in a serious, lasting relationship with a guy.

@missmakebetter No. I think mine actually got more noticeable after I lost weight. I still feel way better about my body now though. I’m just going to hope to get laser treatment for the marks someday when i’m older.
September 4th, 2010 at 3:39 am
@missmakebetter pretty sure at least for me you get them because you get fat to fast so why wouldnt you get rid of them if you lost weight? it worked for me though.
September 4th, 2010 at 4:32 am
@slapoutz If you lose weight.. stretch marks really go away??
September 4th, 2010 at 4:55 am
@IcedLipGloss Hey i also have the same prob..Im 15 and ive got thick white stretch marks on my hips, and i had them right under my butt. But i recently tanned, and the ones under my butt dissapeared (though you can see the tiny silver lines), but the ones on my hips just became more visible as they stayed white…I recommend using lotions with a lot of Vitamin E, and with Almond oil. They make your skin more elastic against future stretch marks..Otherwise no cure but laser…Good luck!!
September 4th, 2010 at 5:06 am
@IcedLipGloss You’re young, you probably have stretch marks from growing. It happens. I wouldn’t worry so much about them.. even though I know being as that you’re a teenager it is worrisome.. It’s normal, no matter your skin color.

I am African American and I have stretch marks on my upper thighs and butt. The ones on my thighs are darker than my skintone and they look horrible. The ones on my butt are lighter. I hate them so much but Im only 14 and I cant get any treatments. Creams, lotions, and oils dont work for me. What else can I do to face, remove ,or hide them?
September 4th, 2010 at 5:43 am
@killmejaszzy how long did you have them for?
I have some stretch marks too, but all over my body – arms – stomach -thighs
Ive never really been fat either, my parents say I grew too fast when I was a teen
a grew about a foot in a year when I was 14
it was odd

@81shelbay it’s a lady on here named Tonya TKO and she used pure unotuched processed shea butter mixed with olive oil and she said all of hers went away. She is African American and her skin is beautiful but I did not see any pictures before hand to see if she really had any but look her up on here.
