Try Laser Treatments to Remove Stretch Marks
Stretch marks are not just mere marks on the skin. They are, in fact, scars. These marks are the results of the skin overstretching. When this happens, the collagen that keeps the skin elastic and supple is disrupted in its production. When the collagen is no longer sufficient to help the skin stretch, red or purple lines appear. Over time, the lines fade to a light color, a color that is usually lighter than the surrounding skin. These are what are called stretch marks.
Stretch marks are commonly associated with bodybuilding, pregnancy, and obesity. All of these are things that can cause the skin to stretch. Many people feel embarrassed by their stretch marks, and look for ways to get rid of them. Treatments that include Vitamin E and Cocoa Butter have been around for years, helping to stimulate collagen production and reduce the look of scars. Now, however, a new method of treating stretch marks is becoming more popular: laser treatment.
Laser treatment has become popular for a variety of uses related to beauty. Hair removal, age spot reduction, acne reduction, and wrinkle removal are all ways in which lasers can be used to enhance the way the skin looks. Lasers can also be used to reduce the appearance of, or even remove altogether, stretch marks. The laser works by causing the scarred skin to slough off but removing the top payer. The heat of the laser causes a small, pinpointed “burn” which is then healed over by new, young, elastic skin. Because lasers are so concentrated and accurate now, it is often possible to target only the affected areas, without damaging the healthy skin surrounding the stretch mark.
While laser treatments for stretch marks are generally painless, there are some side effects possible. Usually these side effects are no more than a little redness around the affected area. The redness usually disappears in two to three days. Other side effects may include some swelling and a little soreness. If your side effects are beyond just a little annoying, and if they persist beyond a couple of days, you should probably see your doctor in order to make sure that you did not have an adverse reaction to the laser.
Many dermatologists are adding some sort of laser treatment to their practices, as such lasers are becoming more and more popular ways to treat a variety of cosmetic ailments. They are non-invasive, and the treatments can be done in a short period of time, although removing some stretch marks may require three or four half hour visits. Additionally, the low occurrence of discomfort adds to the conveniences associated with laser treatments.
It is possible to have your stretch marks removed. You can try more traditional treatments, or you can take advantage of what technology has to offer in the way of laser treatment. In any case, it is possible to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, and feel more confident. All you have to know is where to look for treatment.

Stretch Mark Tips
www.amacorp.com Scars and stretch marks are all very different and delicate to treat. We customize each individual scar and stretch mark removal treatment for every patient. Scars and stretch marks are typically treated with three different lasers in each session. First, every scar or stretch mark is individually targeted. Next, we do an overall color blending of the scar area (painting), causing the turn-over of your base-line melanin (old melanin is replaced with new) which evens out your coloration. Thirdly, to fill in the scar from the inside out, we will stimulate the production of collagen with an intense collagen treatment. This targets old deteriorated collagen deep in the dermis in order to accelerate its removal by your bodys own natural processes. We will also target fibroblast cells throughout your dermis, stimulating them to produce amplified quantities of new young collagen. The last portion of the scar and stretch mark removal treatment will smooth out the surface of your scar with an epidermal resurfacing (laser peel). This phase removes a few microns (30-50%) of the epidermis (the dead cells on the top layer of your skin), along with its imperfections, discolorations, fine wrinkles and roughness. Scar and stretch mark removal usually will take approximately 4-6 treatments in 3-4 week intervals.

I have a pretty good tolerance for pain, so it wasn’t all that bad. It feels like someone is snapping a rubber band against your back multiple times. While that is happening, it also feels like there’s little splashes of cool water hitting your skin. It’s quite odd!

I have scars from mosquito bites on my legs since I was young,(I’m 13 now) they take extremely long to heal. I’m always hiding them and I’m not sure if I should get this laser thing done, I went to the doctor before about this but this looks rly scary:( I’ve tried vit e, creams and stuff but the scars still take a very long time to heal.

Man reaching the moon, is actually a relatively simple problem. Fly up, and stay in a sealed, airtight compartment. CHALLENGING. Now, the Human body, and life, is a million times more complicated, and we’re still barely grasping at how to figure out certain things about the human body.

I had horrible port wine stains on my back, and I got the laser removal done several times for about $120 for 20 minutes. It worked quite well, but I still have some left

something that works better than anything I’ve found- Dr. Blaine’s ScarCare treatment. I got it at Walmart and have been using it for about two months and my scar is almost gone! Just fyi:)

I found Dr. Blaine’s complete scar care treatment works really well on keloids, hypertrophic, acne and surgical scars. The treatment has a silicon gel-pad that you wear for 12 hours and then a liquid gel that you apply for the rest of the day. You can buy it at Longs Drug/CVS and Walmart for like $20. It’s good stuff.

@mimmiandkaykay well if your only 13 don’t worry they will fade a bit and makeup works really well Try vichys dermablendconcelar its really good at hiding scarsOr at your nearest drugstore there are alot of creams to help reduce the apperance of them!but ask your parents first because the laser removel is expensive so Id reccomend using a scar removel cream in the morning and the concealing it If you get one with silicone it smothes it so when you apply concelar after its even less noticible

Wow are you going to sue the person? I would…
I think the scar will fade if it was caused by someone’s nail. It’s probably a deep scratch, and I can’t see that scaring your face for life.

I got a long scar mark (caused by someone’s nails) on my face a month ago. Now it got darker and wont go away. Can laser treatment remove that line forever? Im really worried about the look of my face now and cant go to to sleep sometimes.
September 6th, 2010 at 12:35 pm
I have tried virtually every type of lasers (1024, fraxel, IPL, pixel) for scar treatment and none of them seems to reduce the red color and texture of my scar. You don’t want to know how much money I’ve had to shell out.
Any other advice short of surgery? Thanks.

I wonder if someone could answer this question,I was born with a hernia and got it fixed and a small section of my side where the surgery has been has left a scar,no staples involved but only sewn together,I wonder if I could remove it being noticed, can I do that?
